Ola Electric is an Indian electric two-wheeler manufacturer based in Bengaluru. It was established in 2017 as a wholly-owned subsidiary of ANI Technologies. The company mainly focus on motor vehicle manufacturing charging solutions providing, and manufacturing and sales of EV batteries.
In 2019, DISCOM BSES announced signing a memorandum of understanding with Ola Electric to set up battery charging and swap station in parts of New Delhi in a move to boost electric vehicle adoption in the national capital. Two and three wheelers and e- rickshaws are able to avail the services at these stations. In December 2020, the company announced its plan to set up an world’s largest two wheeler factory (called the Future Factory) in Tamil Nadu at a cost of ₹2,400 crore (US$300 million) after signing a memorandum with the Government of Tamil Nadu.
