Lazareth LM847
| Model name | Lazareth LM847 |
|---|---|
| Release date | 2016 |
| Engine | 4.7-liter Maserati V8 engine |
| Top speed | 150km/h |
Lazareth, a French custom car/motorcycle manufacturer with a long history, released a 470-horsepower Lazareth LM847. The motorcycle has fierce styling and powerful performance. It is equipped with a V8 engine from the Italian sports car brand Maserati.
The company Chrysler mentioned above was the parent company of Maserati, so the LM847 is very similar to the Dodge Tomahawk, and it’s also said that the Lazareth LM847 is successor of the Tomahawk. But the LM847 is actually not as powerful as the Tomahawk motorcycle.
As one of the top 5 biggest motorcycle in the world, the biggest feature of this motorcycle is that it uses Maserati’s 4.7L V8 engine. Because this engine is too large, this motorcycle looks like a large mobile engine. This motorcycle was first unveiled at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show, and it aroused huge exclamation from motorcycle enthusiasts upon its debut.
LM847 is equipped with Maserati’s 4.7-liter V-8-cylinder engine, with a maximum horsepower of 470 HP (7000 rpm) and a peak torque of 620 Nm (4750 rpm). The car weighs 400kg, and its length, width and height are 2650mm, 900mm and 1000mm respectively.
In addition, the LM847 is equipped with Michelin tires, the front brake uses Nissin’s 420mm dual disc 8-piston caliper, and the rear brake uses Brembo’s 255mm dual disc 4-piston caliper. Although the performance of this motorcycle is very powerful, it should be a big challenge for the driver to control this amazingly fast model.
Compared to the LM847, the flying motorcycle produced by Lazareth Auto Moto is more eye-catching. In appearance, it looks very much like a derivative of the Lazareth LM-847. It’s a tilting four-wheeler powered by a fire-breathing 470-horsepower Maserati engine.
However, in order to “fly”, the Moto Volante installed a 96,000-rpm JetCat jet turbine and hydraulic actuator in the middle of each wheel hub, forming a configuration similar to a jet-powered quadcopter. To carry more weight, two additional jets were installed in the middle of the motorcycle. The vehicle weighs only 140 kilograms (308 pounds) and can produce 240 kilograms (529 pounds) of thrust in flight mode.
Lazareth said that the flying motorcycle can also be ridden normally on the road, or transported to a suitable airborne area by other vehicles. The transformation from motorcycle to airplane mode can be completed at the push of a button.
The motorcycle, although still in its early stages, has already passed testing. However, for safety reasons, they still controlled the height to 1 meter (3.3 feet) and hung a safety rope. The Lazareth team will bring the Moto Volante to Gitex in Dubai, with a pre-order price of 496,000 euros (approximately US$560,000). Moto Volante (flying motorcycle) will be the team’s most ambitious project in the future.

MTT Y2k
| Model name | MTT Y2k |
|---|---|
| Release date | 2008 |
| Engine | Rolls Royce-Allison gas turbine engine |
| Top speed | 250 MPH |
| Product homepage | www.marineturbine.com/motorcycles |
The Y2K, known as the land “jet”, was built by the American MTT company. The engine is a Rolls-Roce Allison250, which is also the engine of Bell Helicopter. It uses oil residue as fuel, making the fuel more efficient. But the fuel consumption is high that 32 liters (85 gallons) can only be used for 20 minutes of running. And it has a maximum speed of more than 402km/h.
The 2008 Y2K has a maximum speed of more than 402km/h, but it complies with the traffic regulations of most countries in Europe and the United States, and can be driven on the road; more importantly, the Y2K is not a transportation tool, and most people do not have the ability to ride it. Only those top riders who already have experience in superbike racing can fully enjoy the fun brought by Y2K after proper technical training.
As soon as the engine is started, a powerful exhaust sound immediately pours out of the exhaust pipe, and surging power spurts out. It is worth mentioning that the dry mass of the Y2K motorcycle is as high as 226.8kg, but the power heart of it is the engine directly used to propel Bell helicopters. When a Bell helicopter carries 6 fully armed soldiers, its mass weight can exceed 2268kg, while the mass of the Y2K is only 1/10 of the Bell helicopter, so you can imagine that the power of the Y2K is amazing.
It can burst out a powerful torque of 575.8Nm at 2000r/min, and it can release an astonishing power of 238.6kW at 5200r/min, and the engine mass is only 60.75kg.
